I've been planning on making some knife handles from Welsh slate for a while. This is my second attempt at splitting a piece. It's amazingly easy.

    Hi mate just thought I’d have a look at your channel since seeing your reply to my comment on the Mosquito restoration. Just saw your 2 uploads on that deep level bunker so will have a shufty at those in a minute. Another fascination for me is these old underground bunkers. Interesting topics here and this one on splitting slate looks interesting. Watched a guy down at Llechwedd slate mines years ago splitting slate and amazing just how fine you can do it. Almost looks like precision work.
