Dan, Grubb, and Mike Minotti have dived deep to find another demo disc! We have a little grind session, run around a maze, play some football, and get bothered by fish!

"Seat of your pants" is an old aviation saying (the full one being "fly by the seat of your pants") that basically referred to old pilots who had to react to the feel of the plane (their pants on the seat being the most contact with the plane) rather than the various modern instruments of modern flying. It basically just means to go with your gut or instincts.

Thanks as always for bringing this feature back, even with a less consistent release schedule as before, this remains my favorite. Get Jan on one of these, I loved the one episode he did

LFG! My favorite series of GB, brings out the most nostalgia for me.
  • Hey Dan, Just to confirm did Runecraft make Matt Hoffmans pro BMX? Yes and No it was started there but taken off us late in development (yes i worked there at the time Dewsbury in the UK) and finished at Activison in house by another team. We did also port the Dreamcast version. There is a secret video of the Runecraft team on the Matt Hoffman Bikes Activison sent us included in the game but I cant remember how you access it. Well it was over 20 Years ago.
  • Demo Derby Blight Club idea: have Dan and Mitch try to get old PC Gamer demos running.

I'm pretty sure one of the OPM discs has Vib Ribbon hidden on it.

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX was always the better BMX Tony Hawk knock-off over Dave Mirra, because it literally was just Tony Hawk on a BMX bike.

The constant "No Signal" happens when the Playstation switches resolutions between normal (240p) and high res (480i) modes. When that happens, capture cards and upscalers take some time to sync (re-find the video signal), causing the momentary No Signal issue. Some upscalers take an especially long time to find sync, i.e. they have longer black screens upon resolution changes. Not every game switches resolutions like this, but if you find one and you find the dropped sync annoying, I'd look for an upscaler that can specifically handle resolution changes quickly. The Playstation 1 page on RetroRGB recommends the RAD2x or the RetroTINK 2x for the fastest switching. Or for PS1 games in particular, you can play them on the PS3; this will avoid the issue entirely. Some examples of games that switch resolutions are Secret of Mana, Majora's Mask, Chrono Cross, Dino Crisis, and Silent Hill.

I definitely played a lot of that RC racing game, way back when. Seeing it again was a blast from the past lmao

I never understood why GB didn't push out more demo derbys and game tapes videos. There's just so much content to pull from.
