iPhone 16 Pro vs. iPhone 15 Pro — The ONLY Reason You Should Upgrade!

What really grinds my gears about the phone’s getting bigger is how iOS doesn’t seem adapted to big phones yet. Yeah wow there’s Reachability, but stuff is always in the top corners, making the experience mostly two handed or uncomfortable.

I'm on the iPhone Fibonacci upgrade cycle. I have the 13 Pro which I upgraded from the 8. I am currently waiting for the iPhone 21 to debut in about 6 years (+6 months for debugging of hardware). I should be able to get it a couple of years before I retire. I expect the iPhone 34 will be my final iPhone................It will be buried with me so that in the future archeologists will have something to wonder about!

I would like a iPhone Pro Mini, I know they dont sell as well. Most likely wont happen, however, I dont like the big phone experience over 6.1'. Ideally 5.8' is the sweet spot/medium.

We’ll see how they compare camera-wise. Could get an epic Black Friday deal on the 15P. Most of my 3x shots are for portraits (mostly of my dog and nature), and I already have to backup a good bit and am sometimes tight on space. With a 5x I’ll have to backup even further from the subject. I also prefer the 13p 26mm over the 24mm lens on the 14-16p. Images are flatter and less distorted when compared side by side. I know 15p has the “various focal lengths”, but they’re not really true. It’s insane to me we’re getting a 48mp ultra-wide instead of telephoto. Having 4x the mp to work with would result in further and clearer digital zoom. I’d MUCH rather have a 48mp 3x over a 12mp 5x, or a 48mp ultra-wide.. especially since images from the ultra-wide are already stretched! Are we really zooming in on ultra-wide photos that we need the negligible difference in clarity? I know I don’t. I want better hdr (have you seen the new galaxy and pixel photo comparisons??), a clearer more detailed 3x telephoto (but I’ll settle with a clearer more detailed 5x).. annnd that’s it. Ideally give me the 26mm standard lens, but that won’t happen.

The iPhone 16's A18 Pro may also have an enlarged NPU to accommodate edge AI with possibly an extra ROM to contain the Apple's new AI LLM model(s).

The capture button should be able to be used for games

Just got the 15pm and also held the s24u in hand. The s24u feels heavy, while the 15pm feels right there on the perfect spot between ok and heavy. No case yet though. The 16pm being worries me.

There's no way i'd want a phone any bigger than the current pro max. It's too big as it is! A small size increase on the pro would be fine. Is the pro 16 getting the the 5x zoom?

iPhone 13 Pro Max user. Even though I like the Dynamic Island the 14/15 models wasn’t to much of a change. The 16 seems like it’ll be different enough and I’ll go for that one

I wish people would stop thinking they need to upgrade every year. I'm on a iPhone XS Mac and the iPhone 16 pro Max sounds like a really good upgrade for me!

I've never owned an iPhone so what ever iPhone I purchase will be great I'm learning to the 15 pro at the moment
