Lullaby for a Princess Animation

I owe you all some form of update. You all brought me so much kindness. Its only fair I let you on what has been going on with me after lullaby. I got fired. Got a new job. found love. Bought a home. Married and got a beautifull daughter. She is 3 now. ( Time really flies.). I look back at this project with much love. I have tried to start new projects. But the time I have to invest has been very little. I still draw from time to time, to keep my skill up. Perhaps when I find more time I can animate again. But for now my time goes to family, friends and job. Thank you for understanding. I hope the last years have been kind. Greetings WarpOut

Celestia's mane changing after she used the elements still hits me right in the gut

The idea that Celestia gets her rainbow mane as a sort of magical scar from using the elements is my absolute favorite headcanon. Celestia being unable to escape the reminder of what she's done every time she looks in a mirror is so tragic and I absolutely love it.

I just noticed a detail so very sad after all these years!! At 5:00 it establishes that celestia has a tradition of tucking her sister in using her magic, and when we skip to the present with her outside the window we can see that she still continues to tuck her sister in by setting the moon!! Gosh the detail put into this is stunning

Its been 8 years yet I still teared up at this. This was so nostalgic.

“And that foolish pony did nothing to stop the destruction of the one who needed her most” that hit deep

The idea that using the Elements of Harmony in this way amounted to such a shock of magical and emotional trauma that it tints her mane, in the same way that a serious event can give a person a grey streak, is such a hard hitting notion. I would imagine that generations later, the ponies of the day would probably compliment her on her beautiful pastel rainbow mane, without realizing that Celestia would have probably felt a twinge of guilt and regret and sadness that she would have to smile through, each time.

"The blame was my own, the punishment yours" So basiclly this song hits for some reason even harder when the show ended... OMG I WANT 10 SEASONS MORE...

The fact that NO ONE is talking about the fighting scene is a crime. That animation is good as hell.

"And forgive me for being so blind" That hit me hard

Okay but this interpretation of the fight between celestia and luna is 50x better than the one we got in the show

I like to think MLP's greatest masterpiece is the fandom. For as great as the show was, nothing compares to fan works like this. There is not a comparable moment in the 8 seasons of MLP that makes you cry like this.

My sister passed away in October and today was her birthday. This is the first thing I listened to when I woke up today. I miss you sis, sleep baby sister

6 years later and i return back to this masterpiece and still cry.
