Mount Sunapee - Blastoff (Upper & Lower) (Top to Bottom Run)

Published 2021-01-21
Upper Blastoff (advanced) to Lower Blastoff (beginner) is a ski run that runs from the top to the bottom of Mount Sunapee. Blastoff or Blast-off starts off to the skier's left and quickly runs under the top of the Sunapee Express Quad. It then comes to an intersection where Ridge continues straight, while Blastoff takes a sharp right. The trail has a steep, but short headwall, but besides that is not too steep of a trail. It runs down the mountain until it ends near the bottom of the Sunapee Express Quad and next to the Sunapee Lodge.

Mount Sunapee is a ski area located in Newbury, New Hampshire. It is located in the central-western portion of the state. The ski area is located about 28 mi southeast of Lebanon, 37 mi northwest of Concord, 50 mi northwest of Manchester, and about 100 mi northwest of Boston, MA. Due to its close proximity to many major cities in New England, Mount Sunapee is one of the more popular ski areas in New Hampshire. The ski area sits in the Sunapee State Park, which is also home to a State Beach on Lake Sunapee nearby. The ski area was previously operated by the state of New Hampshire, but has been leased out since the end of the 1900s, and is currently operated by Vail Resorts, and is therefore on the Epic Pass. Sunapee is known for its great views of the nearby Lake Sunapee, its big and separate beginner area, and its nice intermediate cruisers. The mountain is split up into five areas: the Main Face which has lots of fun, intermediate cruisers that everyone can enjoy; Sunbowl, which also has a nice variety of intermediate cruisers that are slightly shorter, but provide a better view of the lake; North Peak, which is where a majority of the ski area's advanced terrain is located; Spruce Peak, where most of the ski area's terrain parks are located; and South Peak, which is a separate (across the parking lot) area of Mount Sunapee which is dedicated to beginners.

Aside from the headwall, is this trail really any steeper or with any more drops than any of the other blues coming off of the summit? If you recall? Thank you for all your videos they are super helpful and well shot. Plus the info you add in the description. Very appreciated.
