Over 10 years IT experience in Tech Support and IAM Lead roles. Third week at a new job. Grateful, and determined to KEEP a Positive Attitude. BUT after being able to work remotely for 3 years, I am tied to a cubicle and it's not what I want. I don't need to break the bank but I like to get close to 6 figures while being able to work wherever I want in the world. Thinking about redirecting to Cloud or Cyber but I am dreading just being an employee and needing permission to live my life the way I want. Thanks for the mindset.

Im also working on getting educated in cybersecurity and get my CC certification. Been in the service/helpdesk for a decade now and its become the utmost mundane cycle of events.

I asked a friend of mine if his company had positions in SOC...he said screw that lets start our own...we're now meeting once a week just learning about assessments and trying to play around with business plans....this video wasnt what I was looking for and although I currently work as a network Analyst i'm slowly realizing that this isnt suffice. I watched your other videos so I wont say that this is click bait...there's alot more to the story and I'm sure you're grateful for the humble beginnings.

This advice is %100 spot on! I have been doing side gigs for the last 15 years, and it gave me a world of experience outside of my regular job that paid the bills. Even if you work with a local not-for-profit, you are still keeping your avenues open by consulting. It does wonders for your confidence, because you feel like you have value with more people than just one employer. This is truly the future of the tech field! NEVER put all your eggs in one basket!
