Why is everyone looking over the fact that Kerry Washington actually was being whipped for the movie and she asked to be to feel the pain and horror our ancestors once felt THAT is why that part of him singing was so powerful and real and why you see her truly feeling it when he sings. It was real for her and all of them in that particular moment of the film.

Lawd, every time I view this video, I cry a river especially when Jamie starts singing, "No Weapon Formed Against Me!" Sometimes it's hard to put somethings into words...the tears speak for itself!!!!!

In all that Jamie has done nothing compares to when he sang a portion of no weapon. That one small moment of him singing that song was more than he has done to make an impact on me in his whole life to date .

Jamie Foxx is different. There isn't a white actor alive as talented, charismatic, relatable, likable, funny, authentic. He's on a different plane.

I was always upset that in the middle of such a powerful, beautiful and touching moment, they would start the dam credit rolling on the screen! Anyway, his message was heard loud and clear anyway! LOVE THIS SO MUCH!

I very well remember watching him that night, it was powerful! When God moves, everyone can feel it, there is no denying God whatsoever. Hollywood and all society felt something real in that song.
