Woman Living Off-Grid in Her Tiny House in Northern Canada

When she's not taking photographs, she's volunteering as a farm hand on a reindeer ranch, taking courses on how to tan hides in the traditional Cree way, spending quality time with her parents, friends, and extended family, crafting beautiful items, and connecting with the outdoors where she canoes, fishes, hunts, and hikes.

Carole has been living in her tiny home for over 2 years in a rural area in Northern Ontario. She has a solar power system to provide electricity from April to October, and from November to March she uses a generator. She uses propane for her stove, hot water, heat, and for her washer/dryer.
Her tiny home is beautifully decorated and has many amenities, including a soaker bathtub, a full-size washer and dryer, a 4-burner stove, 2 lofts, a cat walk ramp so her cat can access the loft, and a full-sized closet with loads of storage space. We think you'll love touring this tiny house!

One of my favorite tiny houses ever, love the metal farm store bath tub, love the cat walk, love that she is on a septic and has well water. BTW, although she clearly loves solitude, she does not let that isolate her and she goes out of her way to be a part of a community---kudos!

I like her. She is so real and independent, but still cares about people. LOVE the big kitchen and bathroom, and that tub is a MUST!

This is the only tiny home I've seen so far that I could live in comfortably. I just love the layout, especially the kitchen, the bathroom, and the kitty. If you get a dog and s/he doesn't get along with kitty, I'll take her! 😻

Wow. The house is lovely, feels very much like a home--doesn't have the off-grid feel because there are so many creature comforts. She is absolutely stunning also--creative, hard-working and incredibly beautiful (okay, I'm jealous of her hair also). What a wonderful little homestead.

I've watched lots of videos on tiny homes and I like this one the best. This home is very well-designed with lots of storage and I like that it has energy options. She's put a lot of thought into everything. Nice to see her enjoying her life and living sensibly. Nice cat, too.
