  • Thank you for the video. I'm a hobbyist wildlife photographer and bought the 90D two days ago for this purpose only. I have other Canon bodies for other purposes. I'm going to use it with Canon EF super telephoto lenses and expect excellent results. I use 1DIV and 7D regularly for wildlife shooting however, bought the 90D for the extra resolution to help in cropping. It also does AF at f/8 with extenders which is another benefit. Its burst of 10 frames per second is a welcome change in a semi-pro body. You are right that Canon EF 100-400mm L IS telephoto zoom lens is great. Especially, version II is excellent optically, weather sealing and close focusing wise. It also autofocuses with 90D on 27 points when paired with EF 1.4x III extender. Video is not my cup of tea. However, when I do feel like recording few short casual clips; I use a Sony HDR Handycam which I find more reliable than DSLRs or MILCs that are primarily still photography cameras.

Don’t forget the 1.6 crop factor on the 80 and 90D. That 50mm becomes an 80 mm.
  • @Mark-fo7tu
Just purchased my first ever camera, the 90D with the 18-135 USM lens kit (special order since it's a older unit, i collect it this month) and I'm looking forward to starting a new hobby with it. Thanks for the video it was very informative and i'm happy the lens i'm getting is a good all rounder.
  • @otulight8011
Thanks for the great content. It's very useful to me as I'm a new 90d user.
  • @ber5599
Thanks for the info moving from a bridge camera to a DSLR so info is very helpful. Great video đź‘Ť keep them coming
  • @joeygwood
The lenses I use with my 90D are the Canon 17-55mm f/2.8, the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, and the Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8. I highly recommend all of them.
  • @aps5150
I have the 18-135 USM (purchased used) also, and it's about as good a general-purpose lens as I can imagine. The EF-S 10-18 is nice to get crazy wide stuff, and I like the nifty fifty as well, but to avoid changing lenses on my T6i I can't beat the 18-135. Sometimes I wish it were longer, but I'll save that fight for when I get an R6 and start moving to RF lenses.
  • @lb7144
From what I have researched, the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 USM (L) II is the very best for the 90D. I’m saving up for one myself. I use my 90D more so for video now and photos with my 5D MKIV.
  • thinking in buying the TS 17mm Canon for my 90D but would need adaptor right?
  • Hi, I had purchased the RF 50 mm 1.8 lens for my Canon 90 D camera and found it didn’t fit, so I had to switch it the EF lens? I’m very new to the photography world and still learning about lenses for the kind of photography I want to shoot. Great video and very informative. Thanks
  • @sdhute
Good content canon lenses are very interesting. That 16mm RF you mentioned is almost enough to make me migrate to canon. Any rumors on when the R m ii might come out ?
  • i have the canon 80d i have the 16-35 and the 50mm but i'm going to buy the 55-250 and the 15-85 and maybe the 18-35 sigma art lens and when i go to full frame i will get the 24-105 and be alright with that
  • Hello there, I like to use Tamron 150-600mm g2 with 90D. Should I expect fabulous results from that combo? Pls. share your recommendations on such. Have a nice Day :)
  • Interesting you found the 18-135 STM softer than the newer USM as they both have identical optics.
  • @MrYamen939
Welcome I have a Canon 90D and an 18.135 lens and I am thinking of buying a new lens and I am confused between the 70.200 lens and the 24.70 lens. I need advice based on your experience
  • i want a good flash for my canon 80d can you tell me which one would be a good to get and i don't want to go broke buying one
  • @exclusivemja985
Great video and I learnt a lot. A lot of my friends are suggesting I purchase a RF 24-105mm f/4L for my 90D. What are your thoughts on this choice?
