Poulter is a legend and that performance on Saturday was one of greatest ever

I really don’t understand how a guy who has never won a major, destroys everyone he comes across in Ryder Cups. It’s almost like he’s the greatest match play style player ever.

EVEN IN 2020 WITH ALL THE CRAP GOING ON TODAY , I STILL GET EMOTIONAL WATCHING THIS GAME .

Some might say that Poulter has never won a major but every Ryder Cup win is a collective major in my eyes
  • I was there that Sunday…on Saturday afternoon it was 10-4, and the US was leading the last two matches on the course with only a few holes to go, so 12-4 looked very possible to close out the day. As a US fan going the next day, I remember feeling very disappointed that “this thing will virtually be over by the time we settle in tomorrow, there’ll be no drama left for us tomorrow”….so the last couple matches Saturday evening I was kinda rooting for Europe just so it would make Sunday a little closer and won’t be over so fast. Bottom line: beware what you wish for. Nonetheless, being there that Sunday is a day I’ll never forget.

“He’s just shanked it and you’re asking me to give him a 4 foot putt” 🤣🤣

Watching this at the time of the 2023 Ryder cup when we just smashed USA on the Friday matches thinking Ian should be there he is one of our Ryder cup legends

Balls of steel when it matters. His passion, pride and will to win in this environment as a team player elevates his play to another level!
  • There's something about Poulter and the Ryder Cup. He finds a whole other gear to the way he plays and under such high pressure circumstances. He's an incredible player!!
  • I never tire of watching this. Perhaps the greatest ever contribution to a team win in the history of the Ryder Cup. I remember waking my whole household up at 2am in Dubai when Rosey holed that putt against Phil the thrill on the 17th.

This documentary series on Medina is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I am not a golf player but my respect for these guys, performing under that kind of pressure, is huge. And Poulter, you can’t but love this guy. Tremendous passion. That Saturday evening match was quite something.

I'm going to Paris saturday for this great venue and I'm buzzing. Couldn't afford it, but my mates said, if you're not going - we won't either, so they offered to pay for me. I really can't find words for their behavior, but I'm obviously very happy to have such kind of friends. I've played golf for 29 years and stopped immedietly for about two years ago due to my lack of finances, but I still love the game. It's a shame that it has to come down to money, but this really gets me dreaming again for that perfect round.Come on Europe.
  • I can't believe someone can hit a golf ball under that much pressure and with that much adrenaline... Mind boggling.

Ian is just one of the European treasures who will shine even brighter when we all look back in 20 years! What a beast when he wears the European logo on his sleeves
  • When I think of team Europes victories over the last ten year Poulter is the first player that comes to mind! RC Hero!

I used to hate this guy, then I liked the guy, then I saw him play Ryder Cup and now I love the guy.
  • @jpa221
Love the Ryder Cup. Love Poulter.

Absolutely Awesome!!! They should erect a statue of Ian Poulter double first pumping at the members entrance to Medinah. Just as a friendly reminder that anything is possible. And Europe is the business!!
