Best Sonic Fangame of 2023 in Roblox??? Roblox has been slaying it lately! It feels like playing Sonic Utopia with tighter controls for slower paced Adventure Platforming, it controls incredibly well. Also the music, level art, and graphics overall look incredible. Probably the best Sonic Experience on Roblox so far.

This looks extremely promising. I think I'd go so far as to say this should get developed in its own engine like Sonic Onset Adventure.

I remember this project It use to be a open-world type game and looked a lot more different, leaning more into Sonic Utopias look Great to see the project advance this much and cannot wait to see more work!!

The tutorial stage being the sonic mania intro is amazing

I’ve played it three times full already and already this has become easily one of my favorite Sonic fan games. It makes me wonder “Imagine this was the Saturn game we were supposed to get back in 1996”, i Guarantee this would’ve done wonders

The fact that BOBLOX has been just as if not more lively with fangames than normal fangames this year(amazing stuff did come out normally this year like the silver release and kineckless free riders) is astounding

Ill say the gameplay definitely grew on me the more I watched. Looks fun to play, especially as I saw more levels. I wont tell them to stop making the game or something but Im 100% spoiled by SRB2. That game in its current state is so good with the level design and physics feel, I confidently say its my favorite game. I always find a reason to go back. Hopefully this Sonic Expedition will do some cool stuff and keep me interested just as much. Good luck!

This game makes you feel like you're playing the Sonic CD and Mania openings. It's super replayable too! This is defenitely going somewhere!

Is no one else gonna talk about how the GHZ level design is a replica of the 3D bonus version of the original found in SA2??? That's flipping awesome!

Looks very promising actually I love the artstyle and relic ruin looks great and the controls seem really smooth. Only thing I'll say is in a Sonic game the opening levels means a lot and using mania's intro is really cool however making just a linear stretch of road is a missed opportunity rather than having a really unique level interacting with all the background geometry like in mania's intro. It could make for a really interesting set of branching paths maybe making the player wonder if they can maybe reach a far off pattern that's actually a rail leading to a secret path. I understand its a tutorial but so is city escape and gens green hill. Also music stolen from Sonic and the Fallen Star should at least be credited. Don't want to be negative though relic ruin looks fantastic and I can't wait to see how this turns out.

that rainbow level is an example of a good 3d sonic level: a LONG level that has multiple paths to the goal that you can take if you are skilled enough to get there

I have a complete disdain for anything related to Roblox, but ngl, this does look really good.

This is literally the best sonic fan game i've ever seen in my life, how something like this can be made on roblox is shocking to me, man i wish i was a part of the dev team because i'd definitely wanna contribute a lot to this masterpiece, i mean the music, the graphics, the sound, the absolutely beautiful level design, everything that sonic excells at is here, some things bug me like there not being enemies or win screens not being there at all but whatever ik they'll add then eventually , overall perfection 10000000/10
