The Horror! The Horror! If, like Dunc, you're a giant arachnophobe then painting spiders, especially Giant Frostbite Spiders, might not be your cup of tea. But luckily, these gorgeous resin beasties of nightmares and death are really, really fun to paint! These beautiful and highly detailed sculpts are for The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms by Modiphiüs Entertainment. We cover loads of great techniques in the video that you can apply to all manner of monsters in your collection so even if you're not painting this specific creature, you can still get some great techniques and colour ideas from this tutorial.

Damn Duncan, this Australia you mentioned sounds like a scary fictional place.
  • @TheAlaskanfrog
Today I learned Duncan, who is the Bob Ross of miniature painting, has the dry wit of James May. Wonderful video, where I legitimately laughed out loud many times
  • @Mcevil666
The spider that is the size of a dinner plate is called a huntsman spider and it's harmless but the funnel web spider is highly venomous and kills people regularly here in Australia and Duncan your painting guides are the best as you explain everything we need to know keep up the awesome work

This by far was the most descriptive video ever "cold dead beady eyes" - comedy gold. My wife is the same way, and totally understand - but the descriptives....brilliant!

In this episode Duncan proves that he truly was a 'Evy Metal painter. (The layering on the carapace MWA! Chef's kiss!)

My mate moved to Australia a few years back. That country could give anyone arachnophobia 😖 awesome work as always 👍
  • I feel like we get to learn so much about Duncan this video. Very fun stuff

Also not a fan of spiders, but thankfully I haven't had a run-in with a dinner plate sized one. Having a medium sized one chase you down as a kid was frightening enough. Why in heaven's name would it run towards you when you are trying to bash it with a shoe?! Awesome paint job as always! Many great tips.

Oooh not only is it cool seeing more unusual minis, but also more character development lol

Duncan always makes the hard stuff look easy. It looks so good though.

It'll bne great to see how Duncan take on a grey knight model. Love the tutorials!
  • @Kidzrul
Everyone complains about the spiders but it’s the drop bears that you should fear!
  • Can't quite put my finger on it but something tells me Duncan is scared of spiders.
