Congratulations! I so agree, everyone should try to grow their own food, it's important for our wellbeing and our connection with the natural world. I started growing tomatoes from a window box in the 70's and I still get those feelings of joy when I sow tiny seeds and feel the soil on my hands. Warm wishes from the UK.
