The intro to this song is one of the best I've ever heard.

That intro is my ringtone for the past 8 years. I almost never answer to calls immediately just so I can give my soul a little treat everyday.

My uncle is locked away in prison doing 10 years, he wrote me a note with these lyrics “And I’m chained like a slave, trapped in the dark, slammed all the locks, death calls my name and it seems I’ve been buried alive” asking me if I can look for the song for him. I'll never forget the first time I seen Avenged it was April 19th, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Corral center. I'm 42 now and feel closer to their music then ever before. Love you guys and please never stop cranking it out.

I've a fan of metal and playing guitar since about 1975, and I have to say this is one of my all time fave modern metal songs. Its just beautifully written and constructed. The guitar solo should be taught as metal soloing 101. It's not just a bunch of tricks, riffs and runs that seem to permeate so much of metal guitar these days. It is melodic and has parts you can sing. it has sections and tells a story. The breakdown after the solo just kicks ass. A7X is not a copy of any other band. They have carved out their own unique sound and style.
