In this video we take a look at replacing older HID, or metal halide bulbs with newer LED bulbs. There are several factors that need to be kept in mind when replacing old bulbs in higher wattages, including lumen output, shell size, wattage, and voltage.

Remember! Our best advice is to bring in the bulb you are replacing to your local supply house, as these bulbs come in various sizes, and often the light output may be the same between lower-wattage LEDs and high wattage HIDs.

In this video we also quickly touch on how lumens are perceived and how color temperature plays a large role in this.
