That little crumb on the side of his mouth bothered me so much

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina was perfect for this case. She let everyone who wanted to speak, speak, and gave them as much time as they wanted. I think it took about 3-4 days just to get through the trial because of all the brave girls who spoke up.

I admire the hell out of this guy. I feel bad for him too, but I admire his passionate empathy -- a good man.

I love that while he did not ask to speak, he did so when he was asked, and then immediately resumed his purpose to step aside and let his gymnasts speak, as they deserve. What a man.

Y'all going on about his crumb but I'm just impressed about how well he spoke. And about the anger and disgust on his face.

He’s the best at “angry chewing” gum I’ve ever seen.

This guy was my professor for a stress management class years back now, and I randomly came across this video after the semester ended. Never reached back out to him, but honestly, he was a great professor. You could tell he truly wanted kids to thrive, and he was genuine. My respect for him seriously goes up even higher seeing this video.

When he finally swallowed the crumb, I felt the ultimate relief.

Poor guy. Nice of the judge to let him speak. Probably healing for him.

I had so many GOOD coaches over 23 years as a competitive athlete ( national level) in gymnastics. I appreciate ANY coach speaking up against the worst case of "our" abuse ever. Bless this man.
  • He thought he was helping these girls out, only to find out he was sending them right into the jaws of a lion. Another form of being one of the abused. Not like the girls, of course, but abused in the form of trust betrayal. He had no idea he was an ongoing source of fresh new innocent victims. That guy must go from rage to tears in seconds.
