Nick your style really works for me. I love your recommendations. And Ive already ordered the Beartown trilogy. But then I find out your wife dyes yarn!!! Knitting is my second hobby. If she has a website where she sells her yarn please send that information. I live in the US---hope that's not an issue. Please keep making your videos just as you have been. I'm hooked. And one other thing---your new podcast area, the lighting and the colors are simply fantastic. Thank you

"A man called Ove" from Frederik Backman is also very very good ! You might have already watched the movie adaptation with Tom Hanks "A man called Otto", which is also beautiful ! Love your work ! I've never thought of reading Stephen King before suffering your propaganda 😉 I just finished Salem's Lot and it's my favourite book so far. I got 4 more of his books the other day and I feel like I'll say a lot of "that's my favourite one" in the future... thank you !

Did not expect to see the ACOTAR series here…. BUT so happy to!!! Yes, Court of Mist & Fury lives rent free in my mind even months after finishing it. If you enjoyed that series, you may enjoy From Blood to Ash. Yes, get on a Court of Silver Flames!!! Soooo good!!❤

I love all Frederik Backman books. Britt Marie Was Here has a similar feel to Beartown. Down and out town rallies around kid's soccer team. Some tragedy, some good stuff too.

Cool to see a guy reading and recommending romance books - thanks for the recs! I liked Evvie Drake Starts Over. I could see that being good gateway romance for dudes, especially if they're baseball/sports fans. Also, I saw a used copy of The Stand last week and "had" to pick it up because of you. 😊 it's a big one! It may be awhile before I have the patience to pick it up and get started

So much in common! Love reading and King is a fave. Crochet tons and love hand dyed yarn. Also, the Hubbs and I met on plenty of fish! Love your content!

Love all your videos Nick! You have definitely inspired me to read so many different books that I never even would have thought of. You are the best!!

You're making my tbr list grow even more. It's fun watching you gush over the books you just read especially when they are ones I've already read. We seem to have the same reading taste which is why my tbr is growing. I'm also a Stephen King fan. Trying to read at least 12 of his books this year. I read his early stuff in the 80's and then read one or two here and there but picked him back up a couple of years ago with The Outsider. Then I wondered why I had stopped reading his books. I've read most of Fredrik Backman's books too. I love most of them. Keep making your videos and Instagram posts!

Love your videos, you have a nice easygoing manner about you, which is very calming and pleasant.

I discovered your channel a couple days ago, love your content, and omg as a knitter hearing that your wife is a dyer made me very happy 😆
  • I don't read romance, but for some reason I love Jane Fallon's books. I find them super relaxing, if I don't want to read deep, existential stuff. Not romance, but in the same vain, the Jack Reacher novels are great for just having a cool little (relaxing) adventure in between other books, highly recommend.

Hi! I recently found your channel and I’ve been loving your videos. Love the variety of genres you read and love how much you enjoy them. I have some romance recommendations for you: first off, the other Emily Henry’s romances (People we meet on vacation, Book Lovers, Happy Place, and this year there’s another one coming out called Funny Story) you can’t miss with her books. The wall of Winnipeg and me by Mariana Zapata (the queen of slow burns). The Heartsopper webtoon turned graphic novel by Alice Oseman if you’re in the mood of something more heart-warming. Truth or Beard by Penny Reid, also from her Beard Science (they’re from a series that follows 6 brothers and each book focuses on a differ brother). Also, you’ve been enjoying some classics so a mix of both romance, classic, and sassy humor could be Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

Has anyone recommended The Darker Shades of Magic trilogy yet? I read all three last year and loved it - one of my favs. Also, if you like Fredrik Backman you might also like The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. Kind of a slower pace, and a “quieter”, thoughtful book, if you know what I mean, but I had all the feels reading it. It remains on my personal top 10 list. I continue to love these videos! I LOVE to see the wide variety of books you read!! Always excited to see a new video from you. Thank you 😊

I'm so happy to see our Swedish Fredrik Backman get the praise he deserves. I haven't read the Beartown series yet but I sure will! “A Man Called Ove” and “Britt-Marie Was Here” are BRILLIANT! ✨
