Just wanted to add, did this today. Issue resolved. Thanks again!
  • Just realized I had this issue after installing an Armory Craft grip module on my P365Xl. Didn't have this issue at all with the stock grip frame. Just a little annoyed with paying nearly triple the price for a custom grip frame, and all of a sudden have an issue. But this video helped, thank you.
  • Just came across your video I had the problem with my canik mete mc9. I did the painters tape with a heat gun method and it worked great but the sandpaper looks like a good idea also. Good video

I've got a brand new Ruger LC Carbine doing this with factory mags that work flawlessly in my 57. Was scared when I saw the heat gun suggestion. But I like the sandpaper on a mag idea. Might give it a shot, hate sending new stuff in.

So now we need to do the machinist job. How about taking it back to the store
  • I went a different route and it worked for me. I put in the mag slowly until I felt the dragging resistance. I held the spot with my thumb and pulled out th mag. Holding my thumb to the bottom of the mag well shows right where the problem is. Turns out that the mag release button does not have enough travel. while it will release the mag it also still was rubbing against the magazine casing. I could actually see the rub marks on the mag. I removed the slide and put a very small and fine grinding tip into my dremmel. I very lightly worked on the mag latch with the dremmel on slow speed. I stopped frequently to check my progress. The latch is steel so it took a few times. The mags now come flying out when I push the release and they function perfectly. I was hesitant to try the tape and heat gun for fear of warping something that couldn't be undone. The worse case for my method was just replacing the release button. Have fun and stay safe!
  • My issue is, I installed an extended teardrop mag release and the mag won't fall when the slide is locked back. Any advice?

It happens in my glock and I only run glock mags.
