Win now without mortgaging the future sounds like a fantastic way to build a team js

It's the right process to go all in because they have the right quarterback. They shouldn't waste any time while they still have CJ for cheap
  • I like the shorter contracts. Too many fans get caught up in wanting to resign their familiar names but the truth is players fall off so fast in the NFL
  • I understand with the "they going too hard to win now instead of building for future"...... however last year's team had a lot of 1yr contracts so they had many holes to fill so why not get the best talent you can get. It's a weird spot to be in but they're in it so no need to pass on great talent just to avoid looking like they're trying too hard after 1 good yr. It makes sense considering the content of the many 1yr contracts making holes to fill.

I don't understand why Monson is so averse to a team splurging on a QBs rookie contract, lol. The deals they're signing guys to are short term, so they're not going to hamstring themselves come Stroud's first big contract because they'll already be off the books. The Texans are literally doing EXACTLY what you need to do when you have an MVP caliber QB on a rookie deal. CJ's rookie deal is literally the greatest single benefit a team in Houston's position could ask for because they can go win now without damaging their ability to contend long term. I have no clue what he's on about with questioning the process - THIS IS HOW YOU WIN IN THE MODERN NFL
  • Really don’t get how these guys are hosts for PFF lol every take they had last year was just bone headed and now they’re back at it again 😂

Why wouldnt they on a rookie contract? Dont even talk about the re signing of Schultz is huge, bringing in San Fran Linebacker who played great for Ryans but was behind a hall of famer at the time there, he is huge, also diggs is only 1 year and hunter is 2. What future are they risking with money? Im so confused by yalls logic on this

Cant wait to prove all the haters WRONG this year 🤘🏽💪🏾
  • They did that with Diggs b3csuse he wants to get paid again. So now he's on a contract year

Im a Texan and Texans fan but what scares me is a few years fown the road... CJ will get record money, Anderson will command about 30 mil. Tabk Dell will have to get paid like 20+ mil. They will be in the same bkat as every other elite franchise, a constant carousel of players. Endless rebuilding. The NFL salaries are getting out of hand
  • @stecor
get the bald guy out of there

The best thing about 2 year deals, can spend that same amount in free agency after two years if they don't work out. The texans are married to stroud. Not any particular free agent.
