Why didn't this documentary let the story unfold in chronological order? Jumping all over the decades left this piece disjointed.

These documentaries are so interesting and give so many behind the scenes insights about history that fictitious shows like the Crown can never provide their audience.
  • I think whoever said that David and Wallace's relationship was the greatest love story of all time should take a look at the letters Wallis wrote.
  • I love William. He's so honest and upright. His wife and children are a credit to this country. Thankyou 💖
  • The Queen Mum was in phenomenal shape at her 100th birthday! Walking on her own, looking presentable, and of sound mind. They've got some good genes in that family.

Watching on September 11 2022. 'one day, he will be king' ... That day has come... God bless the Queen. God save the king.
  • Im glad Edward gave up the throne because if he hadn't we wouldn't have our beautiful Queen and we wouldn't have William and Catherine! They will be so well loved..they are already loved and Willam has proved he is a loving and loyal member of the family and he has the right qualities to be a wonderful King with Catherine by his side ❤️ 🌹🙏👑

Bertie's best gift to Britain was his daughter Queen Elizabeth.
  • Mary of Teck had a German father but her mother was British, Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge and Princess May as she was known was born at Kensington Palace and lived in England for most of her life apart from when the Tecks moved abroad to save money and most definitely considered herself to be British.

The royals time and effort they put towards charities is remarkable even in their later years. The late queen will be missed by so many around the world for a long time to come. I still remember her coming to Quebec in the 70s when I was about 3 yrs old everyone lined the streets very excited and how her calm voice during covid just made everyone feel better. I'm sure with all the cruel comments that keep coming their way and being blamed for ancestors that were in power 100s of years before they were born they would love to walk away some days but instead they keep showing up to all the non profits and events that count on them because at the end of the day the haters are just a small percentage. Still they insist on trying to ruin happy events like the coronation with their screaming and shouting not my King. If you get your wish and take away the Royal family you in the end take away jobs and a big percent of the tourism that many earn a living on. Try helping those in need instead of picketing and you might soon find that your hate is replaced by hope. :)

Great narrator voice on this video! I was impressed to learn that the Queen Mother supported/defended gay staff. Also hadn’t heard before that QE2 had sent notification to the public after Diana’s death, as to why she didn’t immediately return to London. Gives me the impression that the press is responsible for stirring up the public’s bad sentiments. What a shame that media wasn’t more understanding during this family tragedy.
  • Thats Lady Rosamund Painswick from Downton Abbey - I'd recognise that voice from anywhere!
  • Truthfully, she wanted to be back with Simpson, but considering what he gave up for her, she couldn't. So you tell me, what kind of love story is that?
  • The part about Harry being happy being the spare heir didn't age well
