In this video I review the awesome Storage Shell Turtles and discuss why I think they're some of the best Turtle Variants out there! I go over all of the figures accessories and explain how you can tell the difference between these weapons and the original 1988 Turtles!

  • As a kid I absolutely loved these, as you never lost your accessories. These were clever for both the kids and the parents, as it came with a built in place to put away everything when you're done. The zany faces and weapons were a lot more appealing as well, since the original release all came with that same rack of weapons.
  • The Storage Shell Turtles are my default vintage Turtles. Adore their new colour coded (and re-designed) belts. The new face sculps with their superior paint aps, and of course all the unique accessories. You did a fine job here.

Storage shell turtles were my absolute favorite & go to turtles. Those 4 and Slash were with me every single time I played with my figures. Donnie released 1st and I remember when I got him wondering why the others didn’t have such a cool face & colored belt like that. Then I saw them and begged my mother up & down for my Raphael. Still have them too.

Out of the handful of Playmates Turtles I still got, Storage Shell Donnie is among one of 'em. As I'm writing this, you already pointed out how rad the heads are. Yes indeed, definitely my favourite looking heads out of all the brother designs back then. Donatello's always had good luck with getting awesome headsculpts...Playmates and NECA.

Nice video! it was cool to see these together with all the accessories and hear your thoughts on them. I have storage shell Donatello and I love the head it has such a great face.

Nice video! I just bought the newest release of these. I'm a little disappointed that the re-release versions don't have all the same weapons that the originals had but it was still fun to buy these to show my kids and reminisce in the memories. The 80s/90s were the golden Era of action figures.
  • if I could customize their accessories...I would have: - pizza disc, boomerang, armadillo club, a pair of spike knuckles, a sickle, shark fin axe, yoyo, and a grapnel gun

When I was a kid I used my storage turtles as my video game look turtles due to the belt colour and my soft heads were my regular comic/cartoon turtles.

I love the storage shell turtles...my nunchucks broke too...I feel like these weapons were slightly more brittle than the 88s...I just put a tiny eyelet screw in each side n connect them with a tiny chain n they look awsome
  • happy to get all 4 mainline turtles, but they all have trouble standing and collect dust easily...

still no luck finding these at target and they said that they dont know when the next shipment will be coming in. Looks like I'll be waiting a year again just to get my hands on these
  • I must have come here from an alternate universe, because I thought the inside of the shells had a sticker decal making it look like a shelf.
