3 things not to do. 1. Constantly tell him he's the next "player". 2. Train him to hard as a kid as all of this could be for nothing when puberty sets in. 3. Put him into the media or spot light at such an early age. If ego doesn't get him over-confidence will.

This kid is definitely good. But, every rink has a kid like this. Sometimes they continue to excel and sometimes all the other kids catch up. I hope this young man just enjoys his time on the ice, no matter where it takes him.

As a kid I played hockey with lots of kids that were really good. Only 3 ever made it to the nhl. Those are Tory Krug, Ryan Kessler, and Jeff Petry. That's out of hundreds of REALLY GOOD players.
