NOOOOO!!! You are standing on stromatolites at 2:23… You are supposed to go on a paddle board to that location and let yourself be carried away by the current DONT STEP ON THE STROMATOLITES … The restaurant “Los Rápidos” has no interest in preserving this treasure … Bacalar has the largest stromatolite reef in the world from 1,000-9,500 years old!when you step on them or touch them they die stromatolites are in charge of the transparency , blue color and purity of the lagoon.. for anyone going in the future please please do your research before going 🥺🥺

How sad to see people still standing on the stromatolites and destroying them in this way, even that the town and the swimming areas are full with sings NOT TO DO SO. Just for a stupid selfi picture or video. Well done guys.
