Hornets built the biggest nest I have ever removed from someone's ceiling! This colony had thousands of adults inside! The nest itself was 36" wide! I brought the nest home, and fed it to my chickens and my squirrels!

  • Thank you so much for removing this giant nest. I wish I could of been home that day to see it in person! They have also definitely cleared out and they don't dive bomb me anymore. Not what I wanted my garage to be famous for but glad they are gone.

“It’s kinda like opening up a Christmas present . . . “ You and I had very different Christmas experiences.

I have goosebumps just hearing them buzz. You deserve a medal getting anywhere near to them never mind up close and personal. Im allergic to stings and bites so avoid all insects, arachnids etc in general.
  • I've watched many of your videos and have learned a lot about wasps, their lives, their habits, benefits, and hazards. It's been an education. Your narration is interesting and informative. I just watched about half of a very long video by a fellow in Australia(DAP). There's a huge difference between your knowledge and ethics and his showmanship. He lost me when he had two feet of comb, paper, and dead wasps on the floor and exclaimed, "I feel sorry for the homeowner, I'm not picking that up." No pride in his work. That made me a subscriber to your channel. Keep up your good work
  • The fact the squirrel got right up on your lap is amazing! You care for animals like their people! It’s like you can speak to animals! It’s amazing.
  • My favorite part of every episode is when the little squirrel 🐿 and the hens 🐓 rush out and seem so happy 😀

My family home sold recently and during renovations over the years there was a hornets nest left there oddly enough not one sting over the 50 years, my parents had a wood burning stove for the winter and these bees never made a mess or a noise. It was smaller than this nest and the colors changed over the years. The heat from the stove pipe kept them going for decades in upstate NY winters. Amazing video!
  • I was scared of bees, wasps, and hornets stinging me before... Now I'm absolutely terrified. No idea there could be that many in a hive that big...

It's incredible how these tiny creatures can make such amazing structures just from chewed up wood.

When the Hornet King is saying "oh crap" over and over, you know there are too many hornets.

The most satisfying part for me is seeing the chicken’s delight.
  • Everybody: “Wow, what a giant humongous nest!” Me: “THAT SQUIRREL IS SO CUTE!!!”
  • @moonlark
I’m screaming “GET THE HOSE!” Every time you pulled back another layer of the envelope.

I was born on a farm in 1944 in the Berkshires of MA. Hornets and wasps were always something we were afraid of. We didn't have the fast acting poisons in sprat cans today. I Iearned more about wasps and hornets than I ever knew before - thanks. Thumbs up subscribed.

Feeding your chickens and squirrel at the end was so satisfying.
