I love CR7 a lot, maybe more than I do Messi but common! Its embarrassing seeing him doing too much without offering that much. Give new players a chance !

It wasn’t even that bad a penalty! I’m no Ronaldo fan boy, but this is ridiculous criticism. He still has it. Unlucky not to score, multiple shots on target. If someone else took the penalty and missed you would all be complaining that they have one of the greatest goal scorers of all time sitting there that should have taken it.

I'm a big Ronaldo fan but I agree that someone else needs to be responsible for free kicks. There's also an argument for Ronaldo to retire from the national team as he's 39, hasn't scored in the tournament and Portugal needs to be thinking of the future by giving the others more minutes and experience on the big stage.

Keep in mind that Frank Leboeuf is the same guy that spent most of his career on the bench while all his teammates did all the work... you know the type... the Hazard type. He has always been considered a 2nd tier player by the French, so basically here are only mediocres, biased individuals because that is all ESPN is.

I think Cristiano himself needs to play less for himself in the next few games. That could be the first problem. He needs to adapt to his new circumstances he’s older, slower, and not as sharp. He needs to share that ball more often with his teammates.

Bruno Fernandez has always taken free kick for United how many has he scored in the last years, has Bernardo Silva ever scored a free in his man city career, Ronaldo takes it cause he is the most likely to score even if he hasn’t scored recently for his country but for club he has scored like 3 recently, while the other guys has barely scored any in a good amount of time
