Back in the 4 speed days of Pro Stock, some of the racers tried the V-gate design, they all went back to the Hurst Competition Plus Super Shifter. Only the street yahoos ran a V-gate because they didn't really know any better.

Let's see now , my Hurst Ram Rod vertical gate shifter came out of the box with straight shifter rods that were reinforced , it had the same short throw as the Super Shifter , which you have duplicated and it required a smaller hole than yours , all of this from a shifter that I bought 45 years ago and still have today along with my Swifter Shifter , a Hurst Dual Pattern converted to four speed use ala Bill Jenkins .
