QUESTIONS ANSWERED: 1.) Kurt did not have an open casket funeral, Krist was allowed to view the body before cremation. 2.) I’ve heard that the restaurant was either a McDonalds or a Jack in The Box. 3.) Source is from the book “Love and Death”
  • Poor Krist. He was never the same after Kurt's death. The change in him was devastating.

God I feel for Krist, could you imagine coming up the way they did? Growing up with Kurt in such a small town and jamming out in bedrooms to being the biggest rock band in the world and then basically 2 1/2 years later it’s all done and your best friend is dead. Fame killed Kurt Cobain

I mean, I knew Kurt's death had a big affected on Krist, but knowing this was the last interaction they had is heartbreaking
  • Krist Novoselic was Kurt's truest friend from the beginning to the end.. I can't imagine watching your best friend devolve into a shell of what they were trying to help them but ultimately unable to do anything to stop it

I feel so sorry for Krist. It must be horrible to lose your best friend to suicide. Also extra sad that their last interaction was a fight
  • I almost cried listening to this. It hurts hearing what drugs can do to someone with a personality like Kurt.
  • Imagine walking through the airport like normal and then seeing this happen
  • I really think this experience traumatized Krist. He was never the same after this moment.

Krist loved Kurt tho. Them 2 stayed together through it all and always had each other’s back’s publicly like the axl fight. They were 2 friends that didn’t wanna control each other they just wanted to exist. All real friends have a fight at some point, fights come from caring too much usually….

Wow. Rough stuff. I think I can detect that by Krist saying "He should have never done that..." that a therapist or someone has helped him realize that he did all that one person could do really and that it was never his fault in any way (survivor's guilt?). Bless him. You can see how difficult this has been on him.

What a terrible way to remember the last time you ever seen someone, and how difficult it must be to have gotten past that.
  • Him saying he really shouldn't have done it really made it click for me, such a complicated situation I really hope he's found the peace he was looking for
  • Those last days must have been really tough not only for Kurt, but for the whole band as well.

I would've enjoyed this vlog if the horror sound wasn't played the whole time.
  • @Lengsel7
Well, at least Krist can say he tried.

This is the real tragedy of suicide. The people you leave behind are affected forever.

this story broke my heart. I didn't know about that fight.
  • It's surprising it's taken nearly 3 decades for this story to be talked about. I know it was first written in Heavier than heaven but most people wrote it off as tabloid gossip back then. I just feel for Krist. Dude's been through enough & doesn't need to re-live this.
