Ok, but Beyonce slayed with that Cleopatra look.

It ain't a talent show until at least one person auditions with this song.
  • "I don't know where I belong, but I'll be moving on!" Gives me chills.
  • @miamarzy06.
“I’m more than what you made of me I followed the voice you THINK you gave to me!” Greatest line

she's looking at Curtis also Jamie Foxx the entire time she's singing. letting him know yeah I'm talking to U!!!
  • One of the most passionate , powerful , beautiful songs of all time . Stunning ♡

As a kid I never realized how deep this scene was but now I know🥺

I love how they set this up. The whole time people have been saying she doesn’t have a strong voice and Curtis says she’s only a star cause her voice has no character. Then she busts this out like a big middle finger to him as if to say “I’ll show you character bitch”. Gives me chills every time.

ugh this scene may be the best in the entire movie. (but lbr, every scene in the movie is the best scene in the movie.) i just love how after deena has sung in that light, pleasant pop voice through the whole movie she finally breaks out from under curtis and gets so soulful and wild. beyoncé was amazing in this role

I miss that era of Beyonce's career with all the other beautiful songs like Halo, If I were a boy, etc...

One of Beyoncé’s best performances ever👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
  • Remember when Dreamgirls tried to paint Deena as the "weaker" singer of the Dreams? Lol. And while I think Jennifer Hudson was the real star of the movie, Beyoncé gives me chills every time.
  • I honestly believe this song is splendid. Passing over the fact that Beyonce interprets it superbly, the song itself conveys a great expressive force and the splendid melody captures you gently. I think he deserved the Oscar for Best Song.

This song resonates for any one that's been in a toxic situation ... especially when you're voice has been suppressed for so long ....♥️

I sent this song to my ex husband when I left. It's amazing how we loose sight of who we are trying to please another and help them build their dreams.
  • This scene when Deena realized the time to break out of Curtis control was now.
  • Beyonce really did her thing! She's perfect on her character, great acting in this movie. And that voice?! Bravo!
