  • The only Olympian in history to be stripped because of a judges decision. A damn shame is what it is
  • Those judges should be stripped of their positions immediately… This is terrible

So because the judges miscalculated her difficulty score, and she was four seconds late in alerting them to the fact, SHE loses her RIGHTLY earned bronze medal? Yeah, that is BS.
  • Giving coaches ONE MINUTE to submit an inquiry is absolutely ridiculous - especially if the judges made a mistake. Whoever came up with that rule is a grade A moron.

Such a mess. Both counties said they would be happy splitting the bronze award. The officials messed up on both scores. Instead of making it right - they put 2 athletes in distress. Such a bad look for the sport.
  • This Is BS. Completely Unprofessional & Makes Zero Sense. The Olympic Committee Needs To Issue An Apology To Both Jordan & Sabrina. Jordan Should Be Able To Keep Her Medal & Sabrina Should Be Given One. I'm So Sick & Tired Of Hearing Ana's Name. This Is Ridiculous.

This is awful. To do that to Bronze? Once you place that medal on the Olympian it should be too late. No regard for the mental suffering of the competitor. It's not her fault the judges can't get their act together. The decision should have been final. This year's Olympics is just a huge disappointment

So wait, she should've won bronze but because the judges didn't score correctly, she didn't get it and the coaches have seconds to deal with the shock and run over to argue it, and because they were four seconds too late, she loses the metal which she should have won in the first place 🤔 The math isn't mathing
  • Life is rife with disappointments. That one minute rule is absolutely ridiculous.

At this point, neither of them should want the bronze medal that has so much scrutiny attached to it. Like you kinda won, but you kinda didn't. I'm just confused why you can't protest a score outside of 60 seconds but you can still protest a medal one week later.

The judges shouldn’t have awarded the medal until after all the appeals. Medal ceremony could have been postponed to the last day of the Olympics.
  • @Lo-vr9ys
At this point, they should have let Jordan keep her bronze, and honor Sabrina with one too. It wasn't fair for both of them!
  • If I was given my medal because the other team was stripped of it due to a 4 second technicality, I would just give it back. I couldnt value something I earned that way.

the first heartbreak is the Romanian gymnast's heart that US coaches caused
  • @tcsmagicbox
Chiles should get her 0.1 added back (it was already decided the day of competition), and Barbosu should get her 0.1 added back (she was deducted 0.1 for stepping out of bounds when the video showed she didn't). That would place Barbosu 3rd and Chiles 4th. Instead, the FIG and CAS made the most convoluted decision that made it fair to no one.
