This is outstanding. What a sureness. The best sts ascent fd performance ever. LeRoy Cain is unmatched but he is visibly concerned during flight. Richard is a breathtaking moment, what an energy, respectable person, look just the way colleagues look at him, what an admiration and fascination in them.

Capcoms are STS 129’s pilot and commander. The commander was also CAPCOM for 107. That’s always gonna be his claim to fame.

Based on the this performance he was named MVFD (most valuable flight director) in 2011. In 2011 Jones also appeared on the cover of Flight Director Illustrated for a record 2 times..breaking the previous record of 1held by Leroy Cain
