Exploring Little River Canyon and Desoto State Park

We use to camp two weekends a month at Desoso until they put up the all night sodium vapor lights. No star gazing here. We found a couple of other campgrounds that we stay at now. We always explore LRC and I bring the scouts there every summer on the way to camp. We hike down to our favorite, secret swimming hole. New scouts and their parents walk back the way we came, but I take the older scouts on another trail out of the canyon. It follows the river upstream a little ways and then we hike up to a favorite climbing wall for climbers. From there it is an easy hike out. They always want to come back. We also visit a couple other areas. We camp in the wilderness area at Desoto and then on to the Ocoee River for rafting the next day.

Yes! to the shrooms and waterfalls No! to scorpions lol.
