George is a genuine youtuber who just happens to have one of the best swings on the planet.
  • Pretty harsh to say George Bryan isn't a "real" youtuber... been grinding at this and growing the youtube golf as much as anyone - I'd assume BryanBros is at least top ten worldwide for golf channels/creators. At least from an influence perspective. The fact that he's pretty clearly the best golfer out of creators doesn't make him less of a creator in my opinion.

Rick thought he was getting an invite 😂 On a level - thought Peter Finch’s video was outstanding.

Petes round was such a good show of his physical and mental ability. Such a good round to watch

Guys, please understand that the Pros who played in The Myrtle Beach Q event are mostly South Carolina pros. That was intended to help bring more SC “locals” eyes to the Q and eventually sell more tickets to the event.
  • @Lovetheducks
George is from South Carolina he deserved an invite. George is exceptional golfer his only issue is between his ears. I’m glad George got the invite.

I really liked your comments Rick. Less so Guy.

Shoutout to Guy for knowing the difference between a scratch golfer and a proper professional. As a really good golfer compared to almost all players and currently pursuing the pro side, the difference in playing normally and trying to play/qualify for opens is immense. The 77 by Grant or the 76 by Dan on a full length, championship style course, on a championship setup course is better than a lot of people realize. I myself played in the standard P-Qualifier and went out and shot a 73 in the practice round in "normal" conditions at TPC Myrtle without ever seeing the course. This would beat nearly every person that sees this video in their first time playing the course. I followed that with a round of 84 in the actual pre-qualifier despite not playing that much worse. The small changes in the course setup, the preparation, and everything around a qualifier like this is a lot bigger than people realize. Even guys who would shoot under par regularly at their home courses would shoot over 80 a majority of the time in these qualifiers despite playing to their standard. All in all, the home course scratch golfer and the high-level YouTube golfers versus the legitimate career tour pros is a whole lot bigger than most realize.

It was quite revealing whose golf game's held up, and whose crumbled under legit tournament pressure. I was so proud of @PeterFinch !💯 +1 doesn't even do the way he played justice. Pete got some very bad breaks/bounces. But kept his composure. And it was nice to hear George Bryan received a qualifying spot despite losing in the playoff. Also thought Finchie's team did an amazing job producing stellar content!

Your big pal did us all proud. Well done, Peter Finch.

It’s not really fair to say that George isn’t a real youtuber. He’s been doing YouTube videos for 10 years going back to the truck shot days. Wesley has been more involved recently, but George has been the guy that has gotten that channel to where it is now. Yes he’s a tremendous golfer, but that shouldn’t take away from anything that he’s achieved on youtube.

I thought it was fair giving George B. an exemption. He was leading and ended up tying after the end of regulation and lost in the playoff. To me, it was just like a PGA Tour event Monday qualifier. One day, one round and the best score gets in.
  • @emboy1232
Of all the YT golf content creators at Myrle Beach ,Peter Finch impressed me the most. His game has obviously lifted to a new level this year. And George B is mostly a YT content creator ,and he occasionally does 'Q schools' as part of his content creation.
  • I watch more youtube golf than pro golf for a very simple reason. Its the delivery of the content and its how much more personable it is. Youre in the cart with the players, youre hearing their thoughts, not only seeing but hearing their reactions to their shots, youre riding the emotions with them… if pro golf were delivered the same, Id watch more of it. Pro golf is too sterile and thats why youtube golf is so good to me. I honestly got a little bored with the Myrtle beach post because it didnt have those aspects as much as a normal youtube video.
  • Guys take on most of it discussed is a bit weak. Rick and Pete didn't start out as YouTubers......they were literally golf pros. So you can't just call George Bryan out and say he's a golfer with a Yt channel - what does that make your boss? He didn't throw Luke Kwon into that bracket either(?)
  • I'd like Rick to get an invite , then we'll see how good he is , a card in your hand is a different game
