    I have the problem of smiling when I’m nervous and uncomfortable, but he looks relaxed and collected, so it’s hard to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he’s just a fucking weirdo is the only justification. This is fucked up.

    This was painful to watch but people like this exists. It seems like a control mechanism used by people who dont allow themselves to be emotional for whatever reason. The smile comes from a place of awe and amazement that of all the people the tragedy could've happened to its him that actually experienced it and its like an out of body experience where hes watching himself walk up to present after a tragedy he survived. (Its similar to the internal conflict that occurs when something funny and ironic occurs, where its entirely inappropriate to laugh, and you start laughing inside not just at the fact that the joke was funny but at how funny it will be when retelling the story of how you got screwed over at the worst moment. "Ordinary" people excuse themselves here. Some people actually laugh in the situation and apologise and a few others cant control themselves. I saw this happen to someone in a live show and they got fired. Its on youtube.) He had to let go of the awe and let it sink in that the tragedy actually occurred for the real emotion to shine through. Its an act of sorts because he has to intentionally allow himself to show emotion. He has to allow himself to feel the emotion because its not only appropriate but expected. Another thing. Its fine to smile while devastated or like at a funeral. So theres that. People with low EQ wouldnt really get all this nonsense I typed. That's my analysis of the situation.
