When David Smallbone's successful music company collapses, he moves his family from Australia to the United States in search of a brighter future. With nothing more than their six children, their suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY's Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife Helen (Daisy Betts) set out to rebuild their lives from the ground up. Based on a remarkable true story, a mum's faith stands against all odds; and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs.

I got the opportunity to be a part of the Unsung Hero premiere showing in Nashville,TN this weekend hosted by K-love. This movie was inspirational and its message is probably the most needed at a time where the value of family is under attack. Get your family together and go support this film but above all else share this video to all your family and friends too.
  • I just saw this movie today, and it was fantastic! I had high expectations but this film surpassed them all. Highly recommend for families, date night, whatever.

I was watching the Live Feed video conference of "The Chosen" cast and crew last week and Dallas plugged in a 20 min interview with the 2 brothers from For King & Country (never heard of them before this) and did not know they were siblings of Rebecca St James (I wore out her "God" track/CD in 1995? And was my CCM crush :)) but didn't know about any of this stuff in the film nor did I know about the brother's band and their journey from Oz to TN just to arrive here and find himself (dad) without a job after just 2 months. I've lived in 7 countries now & heading to Andorra in July to ESCAPE this nightmare that the left/Biden/Harris/Dems have made of the USA... and trying hard to find ways via my work to also support Israel and Ukraine in the process. But of course, hearing this story. Wow, could I relate as I landed in NZ in 2004 and found a hiring freeze with Telstra Clear (local NZ & Oz mobile company) that verbally hired me ... Just to find I had been frozen out of a job I'd just moved 10,000 miles for... so yeah; I have "been there & done that"! But I didn't have 6 mouths to feed either! Just me! Huge difference... and even today I so wish I could've stayed in NZ as they have now changed all their migration laws and also become ageist in the process ... as now 40 is kinda the soft cut-off age to get in.... and 50? You're toast!! unless you have a spare NZ$15 million you can park in their bank for 10 years! Grrrr. But back on topic. As just said I didn't know even from The Chosen interview that their sister was Rebecca St. James... She had 3 hit albums that all went gold or platinum - so she made some good coin at age 17- 20+ Yet as an expat am always worried about cashflow when I land in a new country with no friends; no job and only have the shirt on my back as an entrepreneur... but as just said; I did not have 6 (?) Family members rely on me too. That is scary just thinking about it! But here's my Q. They didn't show this trailer during The Chosen Interview but saw a Lionsgate TV theatre ad just today and is the largest "family friendly / Christian" film release that they've ever done. Even bigger than the Jesus freak release as far as the number of theaters it's in goes. Massive gamble for Lionsgate but hear it's getting rave reviews. That aside; I was led to believe "the story" was about the father and family and moving to Tennessee. This trailer seems like it's more about Rebecca and her career. Is my lens skewed or is my info wrong? Lastly and on a different topic- I just Googled tickets For King & Country tour dates and they are playing here in Colorado on September 9th at the infamous Red Rocks outdoor amphitheater (U2 filmed a live show there in the '90s and "40" gets the most airplay after "Sunday bloody Sunday" to refresh the memories of us older fans about the amphitheater.... it's here on YouTube if you search... anyway; its just about sold out yet searching diff online ticket databases ... and 30 rows back, towards the center section 9th-row middle seat and Qty 1 price? $2800! Say What?!? So moved back 25 more rows and those range from $899/ea. to $1200! What's happening here? These are "Swifty" ticket prices? Pls, tell me these are scalper prices - as the entire front sections are already sold out and this is nearing nosebleed territory! Have prices gone up this much? I saw Muse in Denver's 4th row for $189 after all the fees got added on ... surely this isn't right? Foo Fighters play The Aspen Jazz Festival the same weekend and the ticket price is $1800 plus another $2800 "Donation" you make for the jazz festival. 2 S.R.O. hillside grass seats came to $8K!! Needless to say, I'm passing on that gig. What's the story here and with the film? Peace
