  • You said 90 to 100 degrees and I freaked out as I’m Canadian and I always just assume Celsius and 100 is boiling point Then I remembered your American Phew

I don’t have a snake, nor do I plan on getting one. But I keep watching your videos ‘cuz your mellow voice soothes my exam anxiety.

I use to soak a pillow case in hot water, wring it out, put the snake inside, let sit for a few minutes and BOOM sexy snake.

Just to note, 100 degrees FAHRENHEIT. Celsius is literally boiling water, I doubt anyone would make that mistake. It was just kind of funny to hear you refer to 100 degree water as "not too hot."
  • My 8-year old male ball python always sheds imperfectly, like the one shown in your video. The top of the head, the sides and top of the neck always remain stuck on. But I raised a great baby, a rare gem. I sit with her wrapped around my arm and I gently mist the area with lukewarm water while stroking the dead skin. It just sits there, enjoying its spa day. It is not head shy and when it feels I have loosened a section of dead skin, it gently moves its body away while I hold the dead skin and it finishes the peeling for me. It's a collaborative process. Never has it tried to bite me. It knows the drill and I like to think it enjoys the procedure. We love our snake.

"The difficult areas are going to be the tail, head, and neck" me, a newbie: ...isnt that the entire snake?

  • @caughtafaygo
i find also making a "cave" in your hand with a wet washcloth will do great also. encourage them to stick their head through the little "cave" and when they crawl thru it will take the shed off. works well.

Me: doesn’t own a snake Also me: I have to watch this video
  • You’ve been so helpful to me whose very new with ball pythons. My boyfriend bought me a desert ghost female because I kept talking about owning a ball python for so long, we bought her from someone on OfferUp who had her in a ten gallon tank fed her every four days and she honestly looked so crammed in that tank. She has some stuck shed around her nose area and I got concerned looked it up and your video was the first that popped up. I appreciate you and your care guide to these wonderful animals❤️

Brutha! I found this video because our young corn snake had shed stuck on her head and it was blocking her eyes and nose/ airways. We noticed her "clicking" and that her eyes were discolored. She wasn't eating, either. Your video instilled knowledge and confidence in my partner and I to give your method a try- and it worked! She instantly felt better, her airways were open, and she is clearly feeling better. Huge thank you!

So happy my little girl always has nice full sheds. Only ever had one incomplete shed with her. She’s a very beautiful albino corn and I love getting those full white sheds
