Good saved Abigail from an abusive husband. The Bible made us to understand that the man was wicked and doesn’t listen to what anyone has to say. The man nabal was a narcissist and a rich man too. God want to judge him. And save Abigail out of his hand. Do you all notice how fast she followed David when he came for marriage. She knew that God has come to save her. A lot of good woman who married a wicked man are crying for deliverance.

I named my daughter Abigail because of one single character in this lovely lady: good looking and wise. Rarely combined in one woman

I've loved the story of Abigail for years and often think of her no nonsense wisdom and courage. I've always said that with a wife like Abigail, why would David think he needed another, because she had to be far and away above all the others. I truly have prayed to be like her in my attributes. Thank you, Ladies, for sharing this study.

Abigail I just found out about today reading a devotional for InTouch magazine. Didn’t even know she exist until today.

This is perfect... are there other bible studies like this? I searched and couldn't find anything like this.. Just a small group of women discussing scripture and making it feel like a warm, sincere gathering in your home... I saw nothing but one person "performing" for a small group of women when I searched for small women's bible study groups, and reading along with you three as you go through the story and really discuss scripture ... this is what I was looking for. Great job ladies!
  • Abigail I'm sure went through a lot having him for a husband. Having a husband that is harsh in his speaking is enough in itself, adding bad behaviors along with it must've been difficult. But she had wisdom for her covering and that says she had a relationship with Jehovah. I'm sure she prayed daily and her prayers were answered and she didn't have to sin
  • Man this is the kind of study I need in my life!!! You ladies would love the Bible Belle books !! You may already know about them but they're kid books for those who do not know. I've been reading them to my daughter. I had never heard much about Hannah the way to book described her. Same with Abigail and they're so amazing!!! I literally cried one day telling my cousin about Ester being so awesome and my cousin who isn't into God's word just liked at me like .... what is wrong lol. She said are you pregnant you're so emotional! I was like no you just have to understand that Esther literally could've been killed for going to talk to the king lol and my cousin still was like......... not getting it Anyway i have learned so much from these children books. It reminds me of Paul saying that we had to have milk because we couldn't handle the meat. And finally I'm getting solid food and my mind is just absolutely blown lol 😆

Y’all were talking about the positive things that were said about Abigail. I have read this Chapter many times but never noticed this following comment. David was talking to her in its 1st Samuel 25 33. He said to her blessed be thy advice. Wow, that was a very very positive comment for David to say about a woman.

Thank you ladies!! I have always adored and admired Abigail, but so rarely hear about her, so I was really glad to see an episode for her! Abigail was such a wise woman, during a time when women weren't given much of a voice, she found a way to create influence, just for her to be in the Bible to influence women through the ages says a lot.
