John 14:1-26 - Skip Heitzig

Now I understand the communion is not for a “perfect“ Christian but for all sinners that love Jesus. Thank you ps Skip for the excellent teaching.

I know I am a slow learner, but after reading John 14 for the millionth time, it finally dawned on me. John 14:22-24 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. The secret is in the Word. If we hear, believe and obey, Jesus is manifested to us. We know him through his Word. The world does not hear, nor believe or obey and they do not know Jesus. Well that was simple, but goes to show that one reading is not enough for me. Every time I read a passage I get something new.

Thank you for helping me to learn more about communion I always thought that I had to be as sin free as I could be and didn't take it because I knew or felt I wasnt perfect enough so I was saved but it was never broken down to where I understood it the way it is now.....so thank you and preaching the word of God to where it is able to help keep grow deeper into his word deeper....Again God bless you and help you and your family continue to light the way for many others to come to Lord Jesus Christ that I am so very humbled and grateful for....praise God that he died for a sinner like me.....

Brother Skip, I just love the way you explain the scripture. I like what the late Brother J V McGee used to say about teaching the Bible .. put the cookie jar on the lower shelf so ALL the children can reach them. (smile). Yes, make the scripture “plain” so ALL (saint/sinner) can understand it.
