Just a week after President Joe Biden announced that he was pulling out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsing VP Kamala Harris, Democrats are rallying around her as the party's presumptive nominee. Maryland Democratic Party Chair Ken Ulman, who serves on the rules committee for the DNC, joins On The Hill to discuss what kind of vice presidential candidate Harris may choose, her growing endorsements and how she may handle critical foreign policy decisions going forward.

  • Favorability ratings are good for Kamala : Harris' overall favorability rose from 35% to 43%, Trump, however, saw his favorability drop from 40% to 36% from the week before
  • Favorability ratings with Independent voters: Both candidates also saw significant movement among independent voters: 44% of independents have a favorable view of Harris this week (up from 28%) and Trump's favorability in the group fell from 35% to 27%.
