Gia Fu // Salsa Records From Curaçao

BON DIA 📡🧡✨ This time I am presenting older records from Curaçao 🇨🇼 mainly between 70s-80s (a set from my previous radio show in 2021), and I’d like to dedicate this to my mentor, a Curaçaoan who has major influence on my Salsa trajectory. Most of the songs I play in this set are in Papiamentu, an official language spoken in Curaçao, Aruba and a few other Caribbean islands and the rhythms that I selected for this show mainly are the ones that can be considered as falling under the Salsa umbrella. As much as I would like to showcase more rhythms from the island with you or even have musicians to do interviews, I have limited time and not able to share all at once thoroughly but I’d certainly hope to do so in the future:) Thank you for being here!

I'm a simple man, I see a new vid from Gia Fu, and I click play. Then a few days later, I click play again with a paloma in hand, with the windows open and gaze at the mtns.
