Values - Bishop T.D. Jakes

As a 20 year old college student, I’m finally realizing the importance of knowing what I value vs what the world tells me I should value. It’s so easy to get caught up in the craziness and fast life, but none of it is worth it. I want to be successful in my relationships, but GOD has to come first. I want to be able to focus, but I must first focus on GOD. I don’t know who needs to hear this, but an eternal perspective is much more important than anything of this world. Oh my t.d. Jakes I am the person you was just talkin to. My childhood was very traumatic along with many others.i have never valued myself and when I rarely have it's been materialistically. For those words "I can be reborn and start fresh and anew was miracle words to my ears!!! I thank you and I thank God for giving us you and his guidance in your sermons. I listened to this message with my 92 year old grandmother. Grandmother said, "I am very pleased and thankful to God for the blessing that he has given us through TD Jakes' message - Values. For me, it was a confirmation of my recent decision to turn my focus from the busy things of life and give attention to what God has instructed and gifted me to do - My Music. In Jesus' name, Amen!

I’m remembering years ago I longed for time freedom by finding a job where I made My own hours. I wanted to spend time going to water parks With my grandkids every summer. I quit that job I hated and am building my own business. I forgot that core value that was my why in the first place. There are obstacles because of the strained relationships of their parents and other grandparents but here I go. I’m going to make good on my values today. Thank you God for reminding me
