Replaced the fuel injectors on our 1987 BMW 325is (M20 Engine) with brand new Bosch injectors from FCP Euro.

Documentation that came with the car said it had remanufactured ones installed back in 2017 and they were making a lot of noise. We also had a little bit of a shimmy in the idle. Just trying to make it run great and be reliable.

A bit of water on cold start is normal. It's created during combustion and vaporizes when the engine gets warm. It's a good reason to not take real short trips and shut your motor off cold. All that water sits in the exhaust. My muffler looked like a rust Slushy inside after the car being driven 2 miles to school for a couple years.
  • I've been having rough start and misfire issues in my E30 recently amd I was more attracted to rebuilt injectors over new Bosch ones because of the tips and because they're flow tested and callibrated first. I ordered rebuilt injectors last Monday and got them yesterday, once I install them I'll update this comment and let you know how they run.

There sounded like a ticking noise coming from the engine and also sounded as if timing was off, just by hearing momentary on and off hesitation.

Might need valve adjustment. Lumpy idle is pretty common with e34 engines.
  • I replaced the same with this new shaped fully plastic ones and my idle got too high since then

That babbitt looked like it was badly repaired with JB weld.
