Pastor Robert Morris | The Jezebel Spirit | Gateway Church

I'm 63 now & am walking with God now praise God. But when I was young we in my 20's & 30's I had this Jezebel spirit. My best friend even told me I had it but I didn't know what she meant. Looking back now on all those wild years I spent in the darkness, partying all the time, I see now she was right. Thank you Jesus for delivering me from that horrible spirit & for giving me a new heart with so much love for you Lord. You delivered me of that spirit and gave me a new life in you. One where I'm helping others & serving God by serving others. He gave me a new spirit one that loves others & is eager to serve others. And loves God more than anything. I will praise your name Jesus to my last breath. Amen

I’ve have an extreme father wound, that statement blew my mind. Jezebel has been attacking me since I was a little girl, 4 years old maybe. I was nearly kicked out of a Christian kindergarten for kissing a boy in the bathroom. I lost my virginity at 14, and that spiritually broke me. I have always been full of fear, rejection, depression, mental illness, broken marriage, poverty.. I could go on. I was approached to be sexually trafficked right before my 18th bday which lead me to being a stripper for 3 years. The lord called me out of that place but my fear didn’t keep me from sexual immorality, poverty, division, gossip, witchcraft,goodness so much. I was full of compromise and still battle compromise in my life. I was an alcoholic and went to treatment for nearly a year. I’ve abused drugs and have come out of all of it, by ONLY the grace of GOD. He has now revealed to me my calling and I’m leading a small womens church group (first time ever) and was baptized for the first time in my life 3 weeks ago at age 42. I have whole faith he will bring the seed he planted in me, before birth, that I WILL walk out the calling he has placed on my life! I will bring so many lost souls to be saved by Christ and nothing will stop me. Hallelujah!!! To GOD be the GLORY!!!

My family has been under attack of this spirit for years and it escalated when my father died. Am glad for this clarity. The spirit sows discord, strife, division and confusion in families and it undermines any form of authority in families and ministries. It also manifests in the form of parental alienation through slander and false accusations

Thank you for that, my thinking was,that the narcissist is a recent new description of a person in or around our life, but I was wrong! The Jezebel spirit has been here a long long time.

This is such an important message for the church. People have a hard time confronting in ministries and churches and the people go through unnecessary problems because of it! Lord give us leaders a spirit of boldness to confront spiritual attacks in our churches.

I am grateful for this answer to my prayers. We all need this check and balance in our walk with the Lord. I know for a fact this ugly ugly thing looks for a door periodically with anyone through offense and injury emotionally. We must keep the door closed and keep check and balance of our hearts and thoughts. We MUST be quick to repent. Be humble. The victory is in the bowed life.

The spirit of Jezebel does try to kill you. It tries to kill your ministry, dreams, anointing and calling. It does make a demand for respect. Sometimes it's those who say they're not about titles, yet glory in their titles and use it to oppress others. Father wounds can make it difficult for ministers/ leaders to lead correctly. A shepherd guards the sheep, not beats or devours the sheep. Those with 'Father wounds' will use discipline in a way of justifying spiritual abuse.   "You cannot out argue a demon. A person under demonic influence will not admit they're wrong. Because if they admit wrong, it weakens their case". It's true that most under this spirit will not repent. Don't be gracious to this spirit. Wow. Great insight!   Jezebel can be anyone, from layman to leaders. Jezebel spirits are jealous and in competition to those who have a great calling. While they may even acknowledge your anointing, they will do anything they can to shut it down. Thanks for a great message! Needs to be taught more within the Body of Christ. The prayer time at the end was amazing! Great bondage breaking prayer! Just wanted to add that to my comment. Praising Jesus for anointed Word and prayer!

Amen, that is the truth. You can't reason with a person under demonic spirit influence. And know even if it's your closest loved one, you have to speak in the authority of Jesus to the spirit, because the person usually isn't capable of speaking to you in that moment.

I experienced some sort of attack....that felt like it was trying to kill me or lead to something of sort....so prayers for anyone who experienced such things.....

Some men have a Jezebel spirit as well it's not just women.

After watching and studying the scriptures, I want to thank you Ps Robert Morris for sharing this. I am aware of not just how the Jezebel spirit tries to get access into the church, but how it gains access into individuals and families homes and causes destruction to occur even before getting to the church. This spirit is gets more cunning and stronger as we allow this spirit to manipulate our lives and cause to be very lazy and lethargic about our walk with God. The reason we need to get back to putting on the armour of God is so that we are protected and that we can stand in the day of evil. Tiredness and burnout in our lives trying to make individual, family and church life happen through performance, personality christianity has got to stop and we need to get back to standing firm in Jesus and resisting the enemy by submitting to God's authority first and foremost in everything. Thank you. I prayed with you tonight! My marriage has been under attack by this Jesabel spirit through a friend that I've known for many years! I was shocked when I realized what we were dealing with but it then made sense as I woke up to her trying to take my husband to stop the annointing on our life! I've been studying and reading much on this spirit and realized I needed help. We've been married 47 years. I'm claiming that my husband is filled with the fire of the Holy Ghost. Praise God

The Stop tolerating was the first video I found from Gateway in 2018. I had been binging and re-binging on your sermons since.

I’ve had it happen twice. Both were supposed to be close/ best friends but it was all about position. That’s hard. First time I never knew what this was until the Holy Spirit revealed it to me. The second time I recognized it but it was allowed to rule by an authority over me. I will say that humility can be false. They can act humble and really desire to be humble but sometimes the desire in them for control is stronger so they give in to the Jezebel Spirit. They manipulate to make you think they are humble to be given position and power.

I don’t know who you are Pastor, but I didn’t know I needed this message. Thank you for letting God use you to expose the spirit of Jezebel. Btw I’m not a leader, I just allowed the Jezebel spirit in my life through ppl and even myself. All the signs you said, I’ve been experiencing, so I just repented and rebuked and cast out the spirit of jezebel.

Thank you. This message has come in a time of my life when I needed reminding of overcome battles that have returned because I have allowed the same annoyances to affect me that I had overcome involving the same people who do not acknowledge their wrongs. I didn’t even notice how quickly it happened. God used your message to wake me up.
