  • Watching this make me cry....back then I was just a little girl not even know english but knew her from her GZ Opera house in my home town! I would never discover the charm of Architecture without her. 2016 I cried that months knowing her pass. Years after I studied architecture in the AA and I still persuing this career, looking back at this video .. Zaha has always been so inspiring and she is always the star in my heart. RIP
  • This interview was conducted 2 weeks before her death , she was admitted for bronchitis where her it shows she was having a bit of flu ,, may god rest her soul

My lecturers in the architecture school used to say how unnecessary her architecture was. I came to realization over the years that 1- she is a true artist 2 - she was good at marketing - simple. I think if we have strong convictions (how we think the world should be) + the willpower to persist in face of difficulties we all probably can be some type of Zaha manifestation, not like her but unique in our own ways. I think Zaha is great inspiration not because of her architecture but because of the way she went about pursuing what she loved.

More humble than I thought she was. An amazing artist and architect, even more inspiring after I saw this.

Amazing that she passed away two weeks after this interview. So many of our great artists and designers leave us too soon where we are always left to wonder about what else might they have done. However, in comparison it’s as though Frank Lloyd Wright had 3 periods of greatness in his life where a couple of his best designs came to reality after his passing. Or in the last 15-20 years of his life. He was starting his design school in the desert after the age that most retire. Surrounded himself with young enthusiastic students and volunteers to accomplish it.

And yet oxford doesn’t do an architecture course!

It took quite a while to comprehend what had occurred this morning...I am very grateful that this discussion had taken place, only weeks before today - the day when we all suffer a great loss in terms of witnessing and learning from more possibilities that she constantly inspires the world with. Countless potential innovations cut short to the world's grief, very sudden and shocking indeed. Despite all the great controversies her works stir, we can't deny that she is and will be remembered as an icon of our time, and nevertheless a role model of women in architecture - one which doesn't compromise but only improves when posed with challenges and inequality. That third last question stroke home to be heard today. Zaha Hadid will be missed, and be long remembered for her legacy within and beyond the realm of architectural design.
  • The great and unique architect of our time,. I love your architecture and admire the movement, expression, and energy of the total buildings that you did. You are my greatest inspiration. We need you!
