There is nothing wrong with Sofia's accent so it can't get "worse." That's a very rude thing to say to your guest but Sofia handled it beautifully.

Ellen was so rude to Sofia, you don’t say “your accent has gotten worse” you say “your accent has gotten thicker” can’t believe a 13 yo is teaching a 40 yo how to be polite. Oh and I appreciate Sofia’s reaction she kinda took it as a compliment because she knows that her accent makes her even more special so the fact that it has gotten thicker means she is even more special and attached to her country, she’s so intelligent
