  • I don’t know how people forget that we won a playoff game two years ago. We had a terrible o line last season and QB injuries. We’ve done nothing but gotten better since then. Sometimes you gotta cut the fat (Saquon) to truly move forward and improve.

I will say it again this is a better team this year compared to last year's team. I love their mindset on competing with one of NFC's elite teams.

Schoen & Daboll had a great offseason. They address most of if not all the holes & needs along with the depth. They improved the Oline, pass rush, secondary & added a #1 WR along with other weapons at RB & TE. The had another strong draft too. We have a strong young core & a nice mix of veterans. We have stability in the front office & good coaches who keep improving & evolving unlike previous head coaches who had problems with media, making adjustments & even strategizing. We have a lot of talent on this team which has good chemistry. This team has precocious young leaders who are gritty, smart & want to improve & win. I believe there are 3 critical factors that our success or failure hinges upon. #1 is health. For years we haven’t had the average number of injuries but an obscenely large amount of debilitating injuries each season. They say inuries are no excuse but look at 2023 for example. 3 starting Olinemen & 4 of the direct backups were all hurt at once for an extended period along with your 1st & 2nd string QBs. We were playing 4th string Olinemen fresh off the street. No one can overcome that. When we got healthy at the end of the year the team especially the offense showed what it could do. #2 Can the new veteran free agents & rookies mesh with the rest of the players to make the team a cohesive & close knit unit playing as synergistic unit? #3 Can Daniel Jones stay healthy & have a breakout year where he plays like his rookie season & 2022? He has an improved Oline, tons of weapons & a solid D. It all hinges on him really. He has no excuse. He knows his grip on the starting job is tenuous & his Giants future is tenuous. Hopefully the injury & criticism light a fire under him. The media incessantly criticizes him but basically wholly based on the Judge years which were a wash. He did well under offensive minded Oat Shurmur in his rookie season & in 2022 his first year playing for Daboll. Last year he started poorly but got hurt. The media & NFL journalists fawn over the Cowboys & Eagles while conveniently forgetting about the Cowboy’s struggles & Eagles late season collapse. They do the opposite with the Giants & Jones. They omit the positive & focus on the bad. I hope Jones plays out of his mind during a breakout season. The pieces are here. It’s up to DJ to answer the call. Let’s hope the Giants shock the league & make everyone eat crow as they’re nearly unanimously picking us to win 4 games & be in last place in the tough NFC East. Let’s Go Giants!

It doesn’t matter how much talent we have, it’s all about how the players mesh with each other
  • @jmwasp
Good to hear the outsiders finally say it!
  • Winning fights in training camp will be the highlight of their season, 6 wins at best.
  • @redpepperdave
It refreshing to hear someone speak positively about DJ and Big Blue for a change.
  • The fact that Nabers is by far the most talented WR that DJ has had speaks for itself. Slayton has been his best receiver for his career so far, no offense to Slayton, but he is a WR 3 or 4 on another team. The DJ/Nabers connection is gonna make a HUGE difference this year
  • If we are healthy we could go 10-7 or 9-8. And injury 5-11
  • @MidtownMeezus
I've been saying this. Danny DImes has one of the best spirals in the league
  • @hek4939
I agree at least over 8 wins!
  • @aas55
The “no more 7 on 7” thing makes sense. To start 2023, the Giants look unprepared for the speed and physicality of the game. By the time they got up to speed the season was basically over. If this gets them ready to hit the ground running, that will help.
  • @paulclancy789
Finally. A host realizes the overwhelming importance of the front lines. Especially the O line. The most unsexy positions but perhaps the most important. I've seen Brady and Montana with good protection and I've seen them with out protection. You can not win without , minimum, a decent O line. A good O line, a good D line and you're in every game , great lines you're winning most games. More important than skill players every time.
  • @justint4049
I hope you’re right. But after hearing this Giants are a sneaky playoff team last year I’ll believe it when I see it.
  • Thank you for pointing out the bad habits created when practice isn’t closer to game situations. Jones has had no line in front of him or they’re just standing there touching the o-linemen and he’s taking 5-6 seconds while starring weapons down. Then 11’s come out and he’s sacked twice in 5 seconds without even realizing.

& people are sleeping on the giants weapons .. Malik Nabers , Jalin Hyatt & Wandale Robinson all super explosive & u still have Darius Slayton who’s very underrated .. rookie tight end Theo Johnson is Like a faster Gronk ( as far as size & ability ) look out man
