Other than intentionally buying cropped or having pieces hemmed, may I also suggest the French tuck as a solid temporary option to alter the proportions of a top that normally fits longer.

The thing I hate about cropped shirts is that for men, cropped means the shirt ends around your belt line rather your crotch, but for women, cropped means “SHOW YOUR STOMACH RIGHT NOW’ which I absolutely hate. As a short waisted woman I would much prefer a version of men’s cropped tees and hoodies so the shirt isn’t too long but still covers my stomach

I’ve felt like my shirts are too long and started tucking them in for that reason. The symmetry looks nice and you can show off a belt. Also sweaters with elastic at the bottom can help to keep them in that cropped area that looks good

I don't think cropped is a golden rule for everyone under the basis of it being "symmetrical". People don't chase the whole cropped look for even proportion, they do it to make their legs look longer. Cropped is for people typically on the shorter side or guys with a long torso and short legs. If you're tall and lanky and you go with this cropped look, you straight up look like slender man or jack skelington.

idk as a 6'2 person cropped or boxy fit clothing has NEVER looked right on me, i always look like im either in a way too small shirt, or if i size up the sleeves are too long and i look bigger than i am/disproportionate
