It's perhaps the biggest mistake in all of Russian history. In his biggest gamble ever, Vladimir Putin has checkmated his own Russian economy, bringing them to a low point from which they might never recover.

Putin invaded Ukraine, Russia was sanctioned, and Putin tried to fight back. As a result, Russia's economy is now in a free fall. Its oil and gas revenues are in shambles. And it's all because of one of Vladimir Putin's biggest mistakes in his war against Ukraine.

In this video, we delve into the reasons why the world economy no longer relies on Russia. Don't miss out on this eye-opening discussion about the state of the world economy and why Russia is no longer a key player.

Putin's gamble with European gas failed. The question is, will Russia become irrelevant as a result?

  • The bottom line is that people and countries don't like to be blackmailed.
  • As a resident of Finland for nearly 30 years, I'm overjoyed at how relatively painless it has been for us to break Putin's extremely ill-advised energy blackmail policy. He couldn't have played this whole thing any more foolishly if he'd tried. As they say back in NYC, "Whadda fuggin' dope."

Germany has been going through deindustrialization.

Well, why is the Russian economy still working?

  • There's one important lesson that every nation should learn. DON'T BASE YOUR ENTIRE ECONOMY AROUND 1 OR 2 EXPORTS. When there's a needed resource that one country extorts others on, sooner or later someone is going to come up with a way around it. They'll either find a way to make it themselves, or find an alternative to it. At which point all of your leverage evaporates.

So sad that all these people die for one man's ego.

3:05 That was our Bulgarian Prime Minister who said that Russia is a gas station with rockets, posing as a country 🤣

Very interesting…an excellent production. You should have at least ten times the number of subscribers.
  • It's also brought the Far East into the struggle, as Poland has essentially turned South Korea from consumer electronics into a weapons exporter.

I can sum up Putin action from the Monty Python Holy Grail. Putin: I'm invincible! The West: You're a looney.

Like it’s always said those that fail to learn from history are deemed to repeat it!

May I ask who are "the world" you mentioned in your video? The west or the whole world?

being someone who has russian famiy.. this whole year just pained me, i always wanted russia to become better after the collapse in the 90's, wanted them to be a good ally and friend to my current country.. but now it just hurts to think that part of my ancestry is still going down under and under that theyre sinking into the ground.. i just hope that someday they will have a brighter future, with ukraine still existing side by side

The weather still appears to be "unseasonably warm". Even here in the North of the UK, though it hasn't stopped raining for more than a few days since October...2022.

I have a pretty high standard for entertainment, especially when its not comedy, and ESPECIALLY for educational/political material, and every video I've seen from you so far is top shelf stuff. Keep it up. Just beware of open windows and invitations for tea
