If you’ve been following the channel for a while and remember the challenges we had bottoming out the van, grinding out the tow bar and ripping off the water valves last year.

We we’re pleased to report that we’ve now had VB Air Suspension fitted to our motorhome which will not only allow us to lift the vehicle when going onto ferries but also when getting onto tight campsites like the one in Croatia last year.

It’s a fantastic solution that also now makes the whole ride of the motorhome much smoother with the new air springs soaking up the bumps and also helps us stopping getting buffered around by lorries or high winds.

This really is a game changer and I can’t believe we’ve not had this fitted to any of our motorhomes in the past. I think it’s going to be hard to have another motorhome that doesn’t have VB Air Suspension fitted to it in the future.

Looks a cracking solution - hopefully it saves any grounding out for you. All the best, David 👍

there are upgrades and, then, there's this... it looks a proper game changer! it was great to see you last Friday on the Essex stretch of the M25, pouring rain. I beeped and showed a thumbs up, good you did it back.
  • This is a superb upgrade for a large coach built or A Class motorhome. Would definitely consider it on a longer vehicle for comfort and practicality. Thanks for an excellent video 😃🚐💙 Trev
  • Looking forward to hearing on-the-road experiences with the new system. With your long overhang van, one additional anti-grounding counter meassure might be to install a small industrial cart wheel under the tow bar. Seen one in a large Carthago van and it was quite smart in its simplicity.
  • Great video. Excellent info on how the airbags and jacking systems work 👍 👌 👏 😀

Full VB Air fitted a few years ago on a 2018 Carthago i150. Transforms the handling of the motorhome particularly negotiating roundabouts, in cross winds, and overtaking lorries on the motorway. Rutted roads are still rough so don't expect miracles. Riding on air is a misleading statement and I prefer to say it is firm and planted. I love the height adjustments available for ferry loading and when crossing uneven field sites. I had previously installed the EP levelers so have no experience with the VB leveling module.
  • Great video Steve. I have had my two Swift Motorhomes both fitted with VB full air - fantastic for all the reasons you mention in your video. And you will use all the features. I now have a Autosleeper with Mercedes cab. I have had the VB full air fitted on rear only, VB don’t do the front suspension on Mercs. I have also had the E &P levelling legs fitted and as you say ithe VB air talks to the E & P jacks. It costs a fortune but it’s well worth it.
  • I spoke with Oliver in October about E&P, having mine fitted over the next few days.

I like this video and will watch it several more times! THANK YOU for all the information! ☺

We had exactly the same problems and benefits with the 774, game changer

Make sure you are able to trouble shoot to issue when it dose not work, and maybe how to manual get the jacks to rerack if sometime goes wrong. Thanks Don

Very informative video Steve - looks a great piece of kit you have ! We have air suspension i the back of ours and the ride is definitely smoother so must make a major difference on your van 👍 xx

Great informative video but Wow! 12k to fix a problem on a brand new van. The way that van sat on the road before the mod was scandalous. The amount of times it ground out and suffered damage proved that it wasn't fit for purpose. I know it was a new model but Swift have some work to do there.
  • Great system. Is the van more ‘bouncy’ when parked & levelled? I’ve got simple VB Rear air and there’s a lot more bounce when stopped. Fortunately have E&P levelling rams. Would like full air on my next van and was wondering what the camper experience is like for you guys now.
  • I very much like the videos on your main channel such the travels that you all do and I also like your home videos on your Steve and Lynds channel when are the travel videos starting again on your main channel and when the home videos starting on the Steve and Lynds channel in fact I have subscribed to all the of the channels keep it up
  • @redsgotravels
Very interesting and informative video, I think you are right, it’s a game changer for you guys.
  • We love our air suspension, it just makes for a smoother ride. We only have it fitted to the rear but no bangs or clattering and much more stable on the road. Wont be long before you get the jacks lol. great Vlog. What was the cost for there system?
