Man Man - "Head On (Hold On To Your Heart)"

This song helped me with my depression and anxiety years ago. I still come back to it every so often when I’m down in the dumps. Thank you so much for this song Man Man.

Most underated song ever

About 6 or 7 years ago I had just graduated from college, was working a job I hated, driving 45 minutes to an hour one way, oftentimes through the snow in my crappy '97 Aerostar van. I used to get off work around 2 AM and the radio station I would listen to would inevitably play this song on my way home. I always felt at peace listening to this on a quiet night. I get nostalgic for those days for some reason, especially when I hear this song.

How did I ever live without this?

Left my ex about two weeks ago and I have been avoiding listening to my favorite band (man man). Well, I can’t avoid it, only this band can heal my heart, slow as it may be.

I'm having a horrible week, I thought I wouldn't survive it, but I hummed this song to myself all day today and it made everything seem better and brighter. :) Thanks, guys!

I've always loved this song and video. The actress that played the mermaid just passed away on May 18, 2022. She was in the movie "Night Tide" with Dennis Hopper. RIP Linda Lawson.

After playing this more times than I can count over the last couple of months, I've definitely concluded that this is my song of the year.

This is a song that helped me get over such a terrible breakup from my ex. I felt lost after her for literally a year after I moved out. This song now is a warning to me. Guard that heart. Mermaids are evil.

If there existed a "untouchable songs hall of fame" this would be the first song inducted. Perfection!

I was so proud of these guys for this. I'd been following them since they were doing tiny gigs in the mid 00s in art galleries. And then they charted with this one.

Growing up I’ve been chasing everyone else’s dream and going to college for a career my family want me to do. I know they mean well but to live their dreams or so that they could be “proud” of me seems like poison when I’m older and I look back on life. It’s probably stupid but I’ve dropped out since then at 21 and have a office job lined up. I’m gonna use that money to fund what I want to do in this finite amount of time I have. Something about this song screams “BECOME YOU”.

Dealing with familial horse shit brought me here. Depression is hard to fight at times. But the answer is ManMan. <3

This song is perfect. Undoubtedly one of the best songs I've ever heard.
