Today I'm going to show you how to achieve this pretty REVERSE HEATLESS curls hair tutorial, using absolutely no products or tools, except for a robe tie! My original method became popular because it enabled you to achieve volume at the root and texture between the curls! This reverse heatless curls technique has, hopefully, solved your problems with sleeping in your heatless curls. I know the original method wasn't the most comfortable for side sleepers, so this technique of reversing the direction of the heatless curls means you can sleep comfortably whether you are a side OR back sleeper! Please let me know if you try this and what you think?

Product recommendation:
If you don't have a robe tie, you can try a heatless curl ribbon by Kitsch:

AS A RETIRED HAIR STYLIST OF OVER 30 YEARS , THIS IS BRILLIANT !!

Thank you so much for showing every single step of the wrapping process...and in real time. It was so easy to follow. I get very frustrated with so many tutorials that show you 5 Seconds of the start of the technique and then either speed it up to 10 times the normal speed so you can't keep track of what the heck they're doing or they obscure what they're doing so you can't really see the details of how they're moving their hands with the hair, or they just show you one wrap and then show you the end portion and cut out everything you actually needed to see to be able to follow and thus do the tutorial yourself. So you are a masterful star of teaching in my book! ❤😊🌠
  • I switched to a silky scarf and for me it works better than the fleece robe belt. There is less friz and the curls are tighter which works good for me since I have long hair. Also I hold the ends with small octopus clips to keep them nice with no dents.

IVE NEEDED THIS FOREVERRR. I’m a side sleeper and the original way is so uncomfortable for me and falls out sometimes. Can’t wait to try this ❤️ thank you

It looks so simple but i tried it AND I WANT TO CRY!!! I NEED MORE HANDS, HOW ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING THIS?!??!
  • IF YOU HAVE THIN HAIR THIS IS THE HEATLESS CURL METHOD FOR YOU! I’ve never been able to get heatless curls to work, which has caused years of heat damage. This, however, made my curls absolutely beautiful and lasted all day. 10/10 would recommend❤️

I have no words for this tutorial. Game changer for me. Thank you so much. I was good with the original technique too but this one is much more comfortable to sleep and the curls are much more wild ❤
  • @x3BobO
These curls look so much better cause it's alternating and starting in the back. Wow! the volume. Gonna try this tonight!!
  • @Ibetala
That is a both beautiful and youthful looking hairstyle. I really like how it helps women avoid wearing those extremely uncomfortable flexi-rods to bed that hurt while we sleep. This definitely looks like a hairstyle someone could wear daily and easily sleep on nightly. What a fascinating new method! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

i've been doing a variation of the heatless curls for years. nice little up-do by day, and baffles everyone how great it looks when i let it down later. i must say, though, the zig zag parting is genius for both hiding the parting and adding volume. bravo!
  • I've worn the rope braid (your first method) now for a while and get daily compliments. I love the loose curls, all the volume and the fact that you don't need any product and I sleep on my back so it works ok but I don't like the way you can see the open parting at the back, so this new upside down zig zag method will be great, thank you so much!

Love this! My Nana taught me to do this when I was a lass! She taught me using a silk dressing gown tie. We always saved our dressing gown ties when replacing one. Brilliant with the fuzzy tie, especially with wet/damp hair!

I've been doing a simpler headband curl technique for years and I was pretty happy with the results. But I always like tweaking it and trying new things. I tried this for the first time and when I was taking my hair down, I was like, oh no, I failed. But then a little brush and tweaking and I now have the modern shag texture of my dreams! I've never been able to get my hair like this before. I love it! And it really was so much more comfortable to sleep on than my typical headband. Thank you so much! My hair is short and really layered so I slept with it wrapped up in a net scarf so that it wouldn't fall out.
  • @Mmistyharber
Trying it for the first time tonight! Can't wait to see the results. I'm a side sleeper so I was stoked when I saw this. Thank you for sharing.
  • Thank you for proving you don't need to buy expensive gimmicky curler sets to achieve this look - a dressing gown tie is probably something that everyone has in their home - I hope to try this myself this weekend :)
  • @dees3179
I love that you describe your hair as medium thickness. Mine is about a twentieth of yours! Subscribing anyway because you describe really well. Even though I haven’t enough hair to follow this. I’ve enough for one curl ! Well done on the lovely curls.
  • @NadiraJamal
I can’t wait to try this! The robe curls with alternating 360 wraps got me the best results ever, but I am a sensitive side sleeper, so I rarely do it. (Basically only when my schedule lets me I do it in the morning and wear it all day at home.) My go-to is a padded tool that makes a topknot (sort of like a satin donut bun form WTH an integrated scrunchie) but you can’t alternate directions and it sits on top of the head, so you get long sections on top that can end up flat or wonky, and I usually end up needing to do touch-ups with a heat tool. That is maybe 70% as good as proper robe curls, but doesn’t interfere with my sleep. This looks like it will take some practice, but if I can sleep in it, I will be so excited.

Ma'am.....I feel like you're an actual genius.
  • You are stunning! Beautiful! Thank you! Love to see longer hair done! I'm so excited!

Ive been doing your original version for like 2 years now, and I just tried this new method! I have different hair type and weird shaped head/face so I looked ridiculous, lol, and thought its not gonna work, but it did!! The end result was AMAZING!! thankyou SO much!!
